Arianna Huffington

Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington, a Greek American businesswoman and syndicated journalist, is also an author. She is a co-founder of The Huffington Post the founder and CEO of Thrive Global and the author of 15 books. Arianna Huffington is a philanthropist, author as well as a TV host and owner of the independently liberal online newsmagazine The Huffington Post. Originating from Greece Arianna Huffington came to England along with her family members at the age of 16. When she attended Cambridge University she earned a MA qualification in Economics. At 21 she became president of the famous debating club The Cambridge Union' and was the first foreign student who was elected to this position. When she graduated, she made her mark as an editor for a conservative newspaper and, with the advent of The Huffington Post' few years later she created an online platform for voice that gave critical opinions on the political scenario. The fame of her name helped in getting several high-profile contributors to write their own opinions on politics news and culture. Arianna was famous in 2003, when she ran as an independent candidate in a recall vote in California for the seat of then-Governor Davis. She also headed the Detroit energy-efficient vehicle project. She was listed as 12th in Forbes' list of most influential female journalists. The same year, Guardian listed her among the top 100 media personalities. AOL Inc. acquired The Huffington Post in 2011 and appointed her as President of their media group that also includes other AOL brands like Engadget AOL Music Style list and Patch Media. Elli was the son of Konstantinos the journalist who is also a management consultant. Although she had a close relationship with both her father and mother the bond between them which shaped her. In her earliest years she demonstrated the ability to lead that has become well known. When she was 16 beginning her education within the United Kingdom at Girton College Cambridge. She joined Cambridge Union, the Cambridge Union college debate society throughout her college years in which she became the 3rd and only female who was elected the president. In 1972 she graduated with an advanced degree in Economics. Following after graduation she was a TV host and columnist. The appearance she made in Face the music with Bernard Levin was also notable. She began to write books after obtaining his assistance with editing.
